Once, Twice, Three, and Four Times Bitten – Beer #253

You would think I would learn my lesson….

• Brew – Smoked Oatmeal Stout 5% ABV, 500ml
• Brewer – Trafalgar Ales and Meads
• Style – Oatmeal Stout
• Country – Ontario, Canada
• Purchased – LCBO

Apparently I don’t take my own advice: 3 STRIKES! YOUR OUT! – BEER #84, but I had heard that this was one of the better beers that Trafalgar brewed.  All I can say is that at least it was not off this time!

About the Beer – It poured a dark brown colour.  Not as dark as I was expecting for an Oatmeal Stout.  The head was good.  The aroma was of sweet oatmeal, mustiness, light caramel, and a bit of smoke.  The flavour was quite bland.  Very light for a Stout and hardly any smoke.  But is was not sour!

Would I Drink it Again? – Nope.
