Southern Tier IPA is kind of like putting on your favourite pair of jeans.  It just seams right.

Southern Tier makes a quality IPA.  It is one of those IPA’s that I reach for every so often.  It is brewed about 3 1/2 hours drive from Toronto in Lakewood New, York.  I am going to have to take a road trip some time and check out the brewery.

About the Beer – It pours a nice auburn colour with a thick and rich looking head that leaves tons of lacing.  The aroma is of herbs, citrus (grapefruit), spice and sweetness.  The taste is very hop forward.  You get hits of grapefruit and orange right off the bat.  This is followed by a nice malty backbone.  The beer finishes with a grassy bitter.

Would I Drink it Again? – Yep, over and over again.  This is a great beer for hop lovers but also a good introduction into hoppy beers.
