Beer and Colds Don’t Mix – Beer # 119

I don’t recommend drinking beer while you have a cold!

• Brew – Galt Knife Old Style Lager 4.4% ABV, 500ml

• Style – Lager
• Country – Ontario, Canada
• Purchased – LCBO

As you may have guessed I have a cold and slight fever.  It has been a challenge to continue to try beers during this time.  But for you my readers I am doing it.  The reviews cannot be used as a reliable, since my taste buds are shot!

About the Beer – It pours a golden apricot colour that is slightly hazy with a nice head.  The aroma, from what I could tell was grains, grass, and some sweetness.  The taste was very grainy with my cold.  There was a herbal hop at the end.  None of the sweetness from the nose could be detected.

Would I drink it Again? – Not if that is what it really tastes like, but I will give it another go when I don’t have a cold.
